its not a matter of being a fanboy but even if you hate microsoft like some of my mates you must try this.
If you play 1 game this year you should play oblivion if you PC is first rate you should buy it immediately, if its so prehistoric it was probably forged by cave men like mine, i strongly reccomend you buy a 360 + oblivion, In my opinion it may even be better than zelda 64,

Another thing you have to remember is that most the shopping done at christmas is by parents buying for kids. The most important thing for them is getting a good deal, i dont know if $600 for a console alone will grab them. The wii will sell, but most importantly the xbox will be the only console available at christmas that will be on 'sale' with reduced prices and discounted bundles. Its unlikely either sony of Nintendo will cut costs 2 months after launch
thats sad if a mario ds game beats oblivion,
